【摘要】:1.1Thisconsumersafetyspecificationcoversallflame-producingconsumerproductscommonlyknownasutilitylighters(alsoknownasgrilllighters,fireplacelighters,lightingrods,orgasmatches)andsuchsimilardevicesasdefinedin3.1.14.Matchesarespecificallyexcludedfromthisspecification;flame-producingproductsintendedforignitingcigars,pipes,andcigarettesarealsospecificallyexcludedfromthissafetyspecificationandarecoveredinConsumerSafetySpecificationF400.1.2Thisspecificationestablishesrequirementsforutilitylighterstoensureareasonabledegreeofsafetyfornormaluseandreasonablyforeseeablemisuseofsuchutilitylightersbyusers.1.3Utilitylighters,beingflame-producingdevices,can,ascanallflamesources,presentapotentialhazardtotheuser.Thisspecificationcannoteliminateallhazards,butitisintendedtominimizepotentialhazardsofutilitylighterstousers.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.5Allutilitylightersaresubjecttothemandatorychildresistancerequirementsfoundat16CFRPart1212andthelabelingrequirementsfoundat16CFRPart1500.SeeAnnexA2.1.6Thefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section8,ofthisspecification.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatoryrequirementspriortouse.
