【摘要】:ThispartofISO9308specifiesamethodforthede-tectionandenumerationinwaterofcoliformorganisms,thermotolerantcoliformorganismsandpresumptiveEscherichiacoli(presumptiveE.coli)bycultureinaliquidmediuminmultipletubesandcalculationoftheirmostprobablenumbersinthesample.Thismethodcanbeappliedtoalltypesofwater,includingthosecontaininganappreciableamountofsuspendedmatter.Thechoiceoftestsusedinthedetectionandconfir-mationofthecoliformgroupoforganisms,includingE.coli,canberegardedaspartofacontinuousse-quence.Theextentofconfirmationwithaparticularsampledependspartlyonthenatureofthewaterandpartlyonthereasonsfortheexamination.Inpractice,thedetectioninwaterofpresumptiveE.coliasdefinedin3.3ofthispartofISO9308,usuallyprovidesanindicationofrecentfaecalpol-lution.
