【摘要】:Becauseofthelossoflifeinfiresfrominhalationoffiregases,muchattentionhasbeenfocusedontheanalysesofthesespecies.Analysishasinvolvedseveralnewormodifiedmethods,sincecommonanalyticaltechniqueshaveoftenproventobeinappropriateforthecombinationsofvariousgasesandlowconcentrationsexistinginfiregasmixtures.Inthemeasurementoffiregases,itisimperativetouseproceduresthatarebothreliableandappropriatetotheuniqueatmosphereofagivenfireenvironment.Tomaximizethereliabilityoftestresults,itisessentialtoestablishthefollowing:4.2.1Thatgaseoussamplesarerepresentativeofthecompositionsexistingatthepointofsampling,4.2.2Thattransferandpretreatmentofsamplesoccurwithoutloss,orwithknownefficiency,and4.2.3Thatdataprovidedbytheanalyticalinstrumentsareaccurateforthecompositionsandconcentrationsatthepointofsampling.Thisdocumentincludesacomprehensivesurveythatwillpermitanindividual,technicallyskilledandpracticedinthestudyofanalyticalchemistry,toselectasuitabletechniquefromamongthealternatives.Itwillnotprovideenoughinformationforthesetupanduseofaprocedure(thisinformationisavailableinthereferences).Datageneratedbytheuseoftechniquescitedinthisdocumentshouldnotbeusedtorankmaterialsforregulatorypurposes.1.1Analyticalmethodsforthemeasurementofcarbonmonoxide,carbondioxide,oxygen,nitrogenoxides,sulfuroxides,carbonylsulfide,hydrogenhalides,hydrogencyanide,aldehydes,andhydrocarbonsaredescribed,alongwithsamplingconsiderations.Manyofthesegasesmaybepresentinanyfireenvironment.Severalanalyticaltechniquesaredescribedforeachgaseousspecies,togetherwithadvantagesanddisadvantagesofeach.Thetestenvironment,samplingconstraints,analyticalrange,andaccuracyoftendictateuseofoneanalyticalmethodoveranother.1.2Thesetechniqueshavebeenusedtomeasuregasesunderfiretestconditions(laboratory,smallscale,orfullscale).Withpropersamplingconsiderations,anyofthesemethodscouldbeusedformeasurementinmostfireenvironments.1.3Thisdocumentisintendedtobeaguideforinvestigatorsandforsubcommitteeuseindevelopingstandardtestmethods.Asingleanalyticaltechniquehasnotbeenrecommendedforanychemicalspeciesunlessthattechniqueistheonlyoneavailable.1.4Thetechniquesdescribedhereindeterminetheconcentrationofaspecificgasinthetotalsampletaken.Thesetechniquesdonotdeterminethetotalamountoffiregasesthatwouldbegeneratedbyaspecimenduringconductofafiretest.1.5Thisstandardisusedtomeasureanddescribetheresponseofmaterials,products,orassemblestoheatandflameundercontrolledconditionsbutdoesnotbyitselfincorporateallfactorsrequiredforfirehazardorfireriskassessmentofthematerials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditionsThisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
